Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
BobCAD-CAM, Inc. (“BobCAD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit this marketing website (the “Site”), submit the contact form, call the number listed on the Site, or otherwise interact with the Site.
This Policy applies to this Site only. Purchases, account registration, software licensing, training portals, and the main BobCAD-CAM website at bobcad.com may collect additional information and are covered by the notices presented on those properties, including the bobcad.com Privacy Policy and the software usage statistics notice. The CAD/CAM software itself is licensed under the end-user license agreement provided at download or install, not under this Policy.
By using the Site, you understand the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. You may contact us by phone instead of submitting information online.
1. Who we are
The business responsible for personal information collected on this Site is:
BobCAD-CAM, Inc.
13528 Prestige Place, Suite 102
Tampa, FL 33635
Phone: 866-535-3744
For purposes of U.S. state privacy laws, we are a “business” with respect to personal information we collect on this Site. For purposes of other laws that use “controller” terminology, we are the controller of that information.
2. Notice at collection
We collect the categories of personal information listed below for the business purposes described in this Policy. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use this Site for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not collect sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
If you use the contact form, we collect name, company, phone number, state or region, email address, and message to respond to your inquiry, help schedule a demo, and—only if you separately agree—send product and demo email. Cloudflare Turnstile is used to prevent spam and may process IP address and device signals for that security purpose. We send only the inquiry fields listed in Section 10 to Zoho Campaigns, which we use as a service provider. We do not send Turnstile tokens, honeypot values, or consent-checkbox data to Zoho.
Retention periods are described in Section 7. Your rights and how to exercise them are described in Section 14. More detail on cookies is in our Cookie Notice.
3. Information we collect
The Site is a static marketing website. We do not operate user accounts, payment processing, or product analytics on this Site. We collect the following categories, depending on how you interact with us:
| Category (CPRA) | Examples on this Site | Collected? |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email address, phone number, IP address, cookie or local-storage identifiers | Yes, if you submit the form, call us, or visit the Site |
| Customer / commercial information | Product or demo interest, company name, contents of your message | Yes, if you provide it |
| Professional information | Company name, shop or role details you choose to include in a message | Yes, if you provide it |
| Internet / network activity | Pages viewed, timestamps, browser type, referring URL, diagnostic logs from hosting | Yes, automatically when you visit |
| Geolocation | Approximate location derived from IP address; state/region you select on the form | Yes (not precise GPS) |
| Audio / chat content | Live chat messages if Zoho SalesIQ is enabled and you use chat after optional consent | Only if chat is enabled and you participate |
| Inferences | Profiles built from browsing for advertising | No, not on this Site |
| Sensitive personal information | SSN, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, government ID, health data, account logins | Not requested. Do not include this in a message. If you volunteer it, we use it only to respond and do not use it to infer characteristics. |
Sources
- Directly from you (contact form, phone, chat if enabled)
- Automatically from your browser or device (logs, cookies, similar technologies)
- From service providers that help us operate the Site (hosting, spam prevention, form processing, optional chat)
We do not buy personal information from data brokers for this Site.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site
- Respond to inquiries and schedule or confirm demos
- Call you at the number you provide when you ask to be contacted
- Send email about CAD/CAM products, demos, and related updates when you give that consent on the form
- Prevent spam, fraud, and abuse (including Cloudflare Turnstile and a form honeypot)
- Remember your cookie preference
- Provide optional chat if you allow optional cookies and SalesIQ is configured
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect our rights, users, and the public
- Support a merger, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction if one occurs
We do not use personal information collected on this Site for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not build advertising profiles from this Site.
5. How we share information
We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
| Recipient | Role | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Zoho Campaigns (Zoho Corporation) | Service provider for contact-form processing and consented email | Name, company, phone, state/region, email, message, and a lead-source value of “General Contact Form,” plus routing identifiers needed to accept the form |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Service provider for spam prevention on the contact form | IP address, device/browser signals, and a verification token. The token is not sent to Zoho. |
| Zoho SalesIQ | Optional chat provider, loaded only after you select “Allow optional” and if chat is enabled for the Site | Chat content and device/usage data as described in Zoho’s notices |
| Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps and related hosting/CDN | Hosting and delivery of the Site | Standard request logs (IP, user-agent, URLs, timestamps) |
| Google Fonts | Typography delivery loaded with the Site | IP address and user-agent as part of requesting font files. We do not use Google Fonts for advertising. |
| Professional advisors and authorities | Legal, accounting, insurance, or legal process | Information reasonably needed for that purpose |
| Corporate affiliates and successors | Internal operations or a corporate transaction | Information reasonably needed to continue the business |
Service-provider privacy notices include Zoho, Cloudflare, Microsoft, and Google.
We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect anyone’s safety, or necessary to investigate fraud or a violation of our Terms of Use.
6. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use this Site to serve cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for those third parties’ independent direct marketing, except as needed for us to send email you requested through Zoho Campaigns.
Under California law, “sale” and “share” are defined broadly. On this Site:
- Optional chat (Zoho SalesIQ) is the only optional third-party tool that may collect personal information for a purpose other than hosting, security, or a transaction you request. It loads only after you select “Allow optional.” Choosing “Essential only,” or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, is how you opt out of that disclosure on this Site.
- Google Fonts loads on every page so typefaces display. Google may receive IP address and user-agent. We do not treat this as advertising. You may block third-party font requests in your browser if you prefer not to contact Google’s font servers.
- Turnstile, Azure hosting, and Zoho Campaigns are used as service providers for security, hosting, and processing a form or email you submit. Those disclosures are business purposes, not a sale.
We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information on this Site.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example, a legal hold, dispute, or tax or accounting obligation). Typical periods for this Site:
| Data | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Contact-form inquiries and related Zoho Campaigns records | Up to 36 months after the last meaningful contact, or sooner if you request deletion and we are not required to keep the record |
| Marketing email records | Until you unsubscribe. We retain a suppression record as needed to honor that opt-out. |
| Optional chat transcripts (if SalesIQ is enabled) | No longer than reasonably needed to complete the conversation and related follow-up, generally not more than 24 months |
| Hosting, security, and spam-prevention logs | Generally up to 90 days, unless needed longer to investigate abuse or security incidents |
| Cookie preference (local storage) | Until you change it or clear site data in your browser |
When we delete information, copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time until those backups rotate in the ordinary course.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of this static marketing Site, including HTTPS, security-related response headers, spam prevention on the contact form, and limiting the fields sent to Zoho. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a breach of personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals and regulators when the law requires it.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Notice. In short:
- Essential: cookie-preference storage, hosting/security, and Turnstile on the contact form. These are used to run the Site.
- Optional: Zoho SalesIQ chat, only after you select “Allow optional.”
This Site does not currently load advertising or analytics pixels. Default is essential-only until you choose otherwise. You can change your choice at any time on the Cookie Notice page.
10. Contact form
The contact form posts to Zoho Campaigns. That product is an email and lead system. Submitting the form is how we receive your inquiry. Because the endpoint is a Campaigns opt-in, we require a separate, unchecked consent if you agree to receive product and demo email.
We send Zoho only:
- First name, last name, company, phone, state or region, email, and message
- Lead source value: “General Contact Form”
- Technical routing fields Zoho requires to accept the submission
We do not send Zoho:
- Cloudflare Turnstile tokens or other CAPTCHA signals
- Honeypot field values
- Privacy or email consent checkbox values (those gate submission on this Site only)
- Advertising identifiers or unused campaign-tracking tags from older website versions
If the honeypot field is filled, we do not submit the form. Production submissions also require a completed Turnstile check.
11. Email and phone
If you consent on the form, we may email you about CAD/CAM products, demos, and related updates. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe method. Transactional messages about a request you already made (for example, scheduling a demo you asked for) may still be sent as needed to complete that request.
If you provide a phone number, we may call you to respond to your inquiry. This Site does not use the contact form to enroll you in automated marketing text messages. Standard carrier rates may apply to any call you place to us.
Canadian visitors: commercial electronic messages are sent only with the consent you provide on the form, consistent with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or the contact methods below.
12. Purchases and other BobCAD sites
The “Purchase” path on this Site redirects you to https://bobcad.com/store, which is operated as part of BobCAD’s store experience and is not processed on this static Site. Payment card data is not collected on this Site. The store’s own terms, privacy notice, and checkout providers apply once you leave this Site.
13. International visitors
We are located in the United States. If you access the Site from another country, your information will be processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate (including providers that may process data in India or other locations as described in their notices). Those countries may not have the same data-protection laws as your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms used by our providers, your consent (for example, submitting the form), or the need to take steps at your request before entering a contract (such as scheduling a demo).
14. Your privacy choices (California and other U.S. states)
Residents of California have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CPRA”). Residents of certain other states—including, where applicable, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, and others as their laws take effect—may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing. We will honor requests as required by the law that applies to you.
Your rights
Subject to legal exceptions, you may request to:
- Know / access the personal information we have collected about you, including categories, sources, purposes, and categories of recipients
- Receive a copy of specific pieces of personal information in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information we collected from you
- Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising, to the extent we engage in those activities
- Limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics)
- Appeal a decision denying a request, where state law provides an appeal
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
On this Site, the practical opt-out is to use only essential cookies so optional chat does not load, and to use browser controls for third-party font requests if you wish. You can set that preference here:
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” on this Site. Optional tools such as chat will not load while that signal is present.
How to submit a request
You or your authorized agent may:
- Call 866-535-3744
- Use our Contact page (describe the right you want to exercise)
- Write to BobCAD-CAM, Inc., 13528 Prestige Place, Suite 102, Tampa, FL 33635, Attn: Privacy
We will verify your request by matching information you provide (such as name, email, phone, and a description of your interaction with us) to our records. We may ask for additional information reasonably needed to confirm it is you. We do not require a password-protected account on this Site.
If you use an authorized agent, we may require a signed permission from you and may verify both your identity and the agent’s authority, unless the agent holds a power of attorney that satisfies applicable law.
We will respond within 45 days, or notify you if we need up to an additional 45 days as permitted by law. If we deny a request and the law gives you an appeal, email or write us within a reasonable time stating that you appeal; if we deny the appeal, we will provide any required information about contacting your state attorney general.
California Shine the Light
California Civil Code section 1798.83 allows California residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information collected on this Site to unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing. To make a Shine the Light request, use the contact methods above.
Nevada
Nevada residents may submit a request that we not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. We do not sell covered information. You may still send a request using the contact methods above.
15. Canada
If you are in Canada, we process personal information as described in this Policy, including to respond to your inquiry and, with your express consent, to send commercial electronic messages. You may withdraw consent and request access or correction using the contact methods in Section 20. We may decline a request as permitted by PIPEDA (for example, if it would reveal another person’s information).
16. EEA, United Kingdom, and Australia
This Site is operated from the United States and is directed primarily to customers in the U.S. and Canada. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Australia and submit information to us, we will handle requests to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, or to complain, to the extent those rights apply to you.
Where those laws require a legal basis, we generally rely on: (a) your consent (form checkboxes and optional cookies); (b) steps at your request before a contract (responding to a demo or sales inquiry); (c) our legitimate interests in operating a secure marketing website, which we balance against your rights; and (d) legal obligations.
You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example, an EU data protection authority, the UK ICO, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner). We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
We have not appointed an EU or UK representative solely for this static marketing Site. If that changes, we will update this Policy.
17. Children
The Site is for business customers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and applicable state law.
18. Third-party links
The Site may link to bobcad.com, the store, social platforms, or other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Review the URL and the other site’s notice before providing information there.
19. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. For material changes, we will post a notice on the Site (for example, on this page or the homepage) for a reasonable period. Continued use of the Site after the effective date means the updated Policy applies to later collection and use. Where the law requires consent for a new use, we will ask for it.
